Why partner:

Karianet aims to become a leading MENA reference knowledge platform and key partner internationally providing access to sustainable best practices to strengthen local rural development projects, building bridges between practitioners & experts and facilitating access to knowledge and finance for rural projects to grow as sustainable and innovative rural enterprises. KariaNet seeks to develop new R&D partnerships, including with the private sector, to ensure it best meets local and regional KM/KS needs and interests and supports innovative product development (e.g. ICTs and applications).

Karianet partners ranges from knowledge partners to institutional partners and supporting partners.

The knowledge partners deal mainly with farming-related KM/KS and work with communities of practionners; together with Karianet they seek to advance sustainable agriculture and livelihoods through exchanging knowledge and case studies. Each knowledge partner has specific focus areas and uses various mediums to promote, manage and share knowledge.

Institutional partners include networks and research bodies with a focus on Communication for Development, KM/KS for development, ICT and Youth. Areas of collaboration are determined with each partner based on their profile and field of work.
Support or in-kind partners collaborate with KariaNet on a specific project or activities that require funding. This type of partnership involves NGOs and private companies sharing a mutual interested with KariaNet related to KM/KS and the promotion of sustainable practices.
