In 2016, FAO initiated a project on “Upgrading the technical agriculture education system in Lebanon”, funded by the Kingdom of the Netherlands, in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture (MoA), United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), International Labour Organization (ILO), AVSI and WARD. The project ends in September 2020. The aim of the project is to upgrade the technical agriculture education system and rehabilitating the seven agricultural schools while offering enrollment opportunities to young Lebanese and Syrian students and to enhance the efficiency of the agriculture education system in Lebanon. The project has also developed new vocational training modalities as part of the non-formal accelerated learning in agriculture.

Food for training project was funded by the World Food Program (WFP) all over Lebanon and implemented by Fair Trade Lebanon in partnership with Care International in Mount Lebanon particularly in the villages of Baskinta, Kfardebian, Kfarhelda, Ehmej and Jbeil.
The project aimed at empowering women and youth through skills building, consequently expanding their access to educational and employment opportunities. The project also provided agriculture trainings supporting the growth and sustenance of markets, and the creation of livelihoods opportunities. A total of 180 beneficiaries participated in trainings such as vocational training (cooking session, hygiene) for vulnerable women and GHP training for 4 cooperatives. Also 44 women were place in internship program.
Farah Social Foundation is an NGO that aims at working for the development of communities at a social and economic level, especially the most disadvantaged. Farah also works to eradicate poverty and empower individuals to participate in the development of themselves and their communities.
