How were the priority topics identified?
It was always assumed from the onset that the success of KariaNet will depend on its ability to respond to the knowledge and information needs of its member projects' managers, staff, beneficiaries, and partners, as well as its ability to analyze the drivers and constraints any knowledge sharing attempt. In this respect, KariaNet Regional Coordination Unit undertook a Knowledge and Information Needs Assessment Study in order to gather relevant information about what types of knowledge and information are required, in which format each type should be presented, where it can be accessed, which constraints and problems (especially e-readiness) inhibit the different users from accessing it, etc.


As a result of this study, the following topics have been identified as areas where additional knowledge and information has been frequently requested by staff and partners of member projects:
