Marketing
The sixth priority topic that emerged from the Knowledge and Information Needs Assessment Study undertaken by KariaNet is Marketing. This theme was the most unexpected priority, although it is a justified one. In fact, all IFAD-funded projects in the region feel the need to devise appropriate mechanisms to help their beneficiaries solving their marketing constraints and accessing new markets.
However, this is the least topic where KariaNet member projects have developed sound experiences and still require steady efforts to foster exchange within the network, on the one hand, and to mobilise external expertise to support knowledge improvement within the network, on the other. One of the main activities KariaNet organised in this perspective is the 3rd Annual Thematic Workshop in Cairo (28-31 October 2007) on Technology Transfer and Marketing.
