Karak-Tafila Agricultural Resources Management Project
The main objectives of the project are to improve food and water security and the income levels of the target group of rural poor households in the project area. Project objectives are to be met by promoting community development and through the efficient use and improved management of soil and water resources. The project provides technical and financial support to:
- Build soil and water conservation structures and improve agricultural production through the active participation of the target group;
- Promote sustainable land and water management practices and environmental monitoring;
- Promote rural microfinance for on and off-farm activities; and
- Strengthen the capacity of the existing PMU and the agricultural directorates in the project area.
