This study helped in identifying substantive technical content needed to support technology transfer activities of KariaNet member projects. One of the most highly prioritized issues is the improvement of reproduction and husbandry of small ruminants, given that sheep - and to a lesser extent goats - in MENA are mostly concentrated in dry areas in which they play an important socio-economic role.
